Oxknit Clothing Halloween Sweaters, Designed by Carrie Cantwell
The two new Halloween sweaters from Oxknit Clothing were designed by Atlanta illustrator and surface pattern designer Carrie Cantwell. This is her second collaboration with Oxknit. Her first Oxknit sweaters went viral on social media and became one of the most popular stories on her website.
Carrie created both new designs with spooky season in mind. One is a vampire fangs sweater, and the other is a retro portrait sweater for fall nights out.
Art that people wear (and notice)
Carrie wore the vampire fangs sweater to the trivia night she hosts at a local bar and got so many compliments that two friends ordered their own after seeing her in it. That’s the goal of every licensed design: art that makes people smile and that they want to bring into their own lives.
How art licensing works for apparel
Oxknit licenses Carrie’s original artwork and turns it into knitwear. Carrie creates the art, Oxknit produces and sells the sweaters, and every piece is credited “Designed by Carrie Cantwell.” Licensing lets one piece of art reach far more people than any artist could on their own.
All of Carrie’s art is hand-drawn by her, with no AI.
Licensing Carrie’s art for your brand
Carrie has licensed her artwork to more than 30 brands, including Target, Pottery Barn, Urban Outfitters, World Market and Wayfair. Her licensing catalog has more than 700 designs for apparel, home decor, stationery, gifts and more, including seasonal art for Halloween and the holidays.
