AI Usage Policy

Carrie Cantwell is an illustrator, art brand and surface pattern designer. Every piece of art she creates and licenses is made by her, not by AI. This policy explains where AI is and isn't part of her business, so licensing partners and art directors know exactly what they're getting.

Carrie's Art Is 100% Human-Made

Every illustration and pattern in Carrie's portfolio is drawn, painted and designed by Carrie herself. She works in Procreate, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and with traditional media like paint and pen. No part of her artwork is created, generated or edited with AI.

How Carrie Uses AI in Her Business

Carrie uses AI only for the business side of her work, never to make art. This includes:

  • Search engine optimization, listings and keywords

  • Organizing, admin and scheduling

  • Help with emails and writing

  • Research and contract review

How Licensees May Not Use Carrie's Art With AI

Licensees may not use Carrie's art with AI tools in any way. This includes:

  • Uploading her art to AI tools or apps

  • Using AI to create variations, new versions or new art based on her work

  • Using AI to recolor, extend, upscale or edit her art

  • Using her art to train, test or improve any AI model

AI Training

Carrie does not give permission for her artwork, website content or images to be used to train AI models.

How Carrie Protects Your Information

When Carrie uses AI for business tasks, she does not upload unreleased artwork or share licensing partners' confidential information.
